Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Friday, called upon the TDP MPs to intensify their protests against the denial of Special Category Status (SCS) on the last day of the Parliament session.

He asserted that attempts by the Central government to weaken Andhra Pradesh would not succeed as the people realised it’s true intentions.
Participating in a bicycle rally from Venkatapalem village in Thullur mandal of Guntur district to the Legislative Assembly as part of the statewide stir for SCS on Friday, Mr. Naidu said his party MPs were waging a relentless battle against the Centre and that the fight would continue till the SCS is granted.

He warned Prime Minister Narendra Modi that if his party did not change its attitude to Andhra Pradesh and concede it’s legitimate demands, the BJP would meet the same fate as Congress.

Mr. Naidu exhorted the people to make their dissent known to the Central government so that it sheds it's indifference to the plight of A.P. which was in dire straits.
